Formerly the Garden Writers Association and GWA: The Association for Garden Communicators. The organization includes book authors, bloggers, staff editors, syndicated columnists, freelance writers, photographers, speakers, landscape designers, television and radio personalities, consultants, publishers, extension service agents and more.

The site includes an active discussion forum and a "wiki" of information about bulbs, with a focus on documenting bulbs growing in natural habitats.

We grow, promote and show Dahlias in the Pacific Northwest. Members meet each month on the second Wednesday with the exception of July and December, at the Shoreline Senior Center at 7:30 pm. The Seattle Dahlia Society holds an annual tuber and plant sale each April that is not only open to members, but to the general public as well. Each year on Labor Day weekend, the Seattle Dahlia Society puts together a show so that growers can share their hard efforts with fellow club members as well as the public; the event is free. Membership information is available on the website, as well as information about dahlias and the club.

Members of SERNW are actively protecting and restoring ecosystems throughout the Cascadia bioregion which includes Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Northern California.

The society's work focuses on protecting pollinators, conserving endangered species, and advocacy. The website contains an extensive publications library which includes technical reports for scientists, planting guides for homeowners and the biannual journal Wings. There are also resources specially designed for teachers and students.
